So, how's this for putting it all in a nutshell?



They talked and laughed and cried for hours without end, and ate artichokes together across an ocean. They wrote and wrote and wrote, and argued over how to spell the words. They sang and danced. She hid her face in her hands, shrieked at each little bump of the wheel, and found him a rubber band. They wept to say goodbye. They shared presents and whispered toasts under the stars.

I am glad that you are able to put yourself first---that is to be able to get away from the stress.
I wish I had the balls to leave my job (sometimes) when it is so freakin' hectic. I work in a stressful environment with lots of drama and emergencies.

Sometimes I wonder would I like to work somewhere else or not at all?

What would I like to do?



So what is your next step besides spending a little more time in blogland?

Will you find another job?

Good for you Elaine. I think you made the right choice too. There is nothing stopping you from looking for another job when you are ready. I too am taking steps in rectifying the effect my job has on my health, and am currently applying for others. Will let you know how it goes.


On the other hand, I thought we settled on today for our 26things and so I have just posted mine and shot over to see yours! Was I meant to wait??? lol

ok kiddo I wanted to get rid of the cat but I never meant for it to go everseas. Any way I can now save on strawberry bills. Your health is always first, and you in general. I know what you mean about the work thing and people taking advantage of you. Believe me, I know. I am everyones escape goat and I am friggin tired of it. I am now looking for something else, cause for lack of better words it is bull#hi*. We are all here for you also kiddo let us know if we can help in anyway. A great big fat hug to you.

One thing I've learned sweetie in my last year.... you can't love anyone else if you don't love yourself.


Do what the good dr says, take care of yourself first.
