Great list, I got a lump in my throat when reading how you tuck you son in, I think that is awesome.
  • Kristen · 3 years ago
I have to have blankets too!!!

I laughed out loud when you said you were beginning to worry about this list
  • erika · 3 years ago
Great list! I always sit on the floor too!
  • the big one · 3 years ago
What is it that makes the floor such a wonderful place to sit? I always end up there too (sometimes even at work).

Liked the story about tucking your son in and how you still tell him NooGSSIe - one of those tender memories we all cherish...

But do have to tell you on your getting ready for bedtime routine - I think you are at least one "off" short! lol
  • Miss Understood · 3 years ago
Byron - we don't get many of those over here, thank God!

Leigh - ahh, sweetie, don't cry!

Kristen - Is your cover to keep the spiders out too?

Erica - There's so much more you can do on the floor!

The Big One - When you are on the floor, you don't have to reach as far for the wine. As for being one "off" short - I counted...and you're right!

I am SO the same about toast crumbs!

I get embarrassed for people on TV, too.

With my five year old, we have a routine, too. After reading a book (or three if he can get away with it), it's lights out and: sing Rock-a-bye-baby, rub his back and say: Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs tickle...'cause I love you more than lemonade! And I usually have to repeat the singing, just to get him to lie still long enough to go to sleep.

I can't sleep uncovered either. My wife makes fun of me because I check the door to see if it's locked four or fives times a night.

    Wha happened with the ghosts?
  • Miss Understood · 3 years ago
Byron - is that ALL you miss about the UK??? lol

April - I love you more than lemonade - that is sooo sweet! I bet he thinks that's absolutely loads and loads!

haaaaaaa - Now - that IS obsessive!!! I don't feel quite so bad now! As for the ghosts - I think I'll post an entry on it. Thanks for the inspiration. x

Other nice things about the floor - so much room to sprawl...

Not as far as to fall when you've reached for the wine one time too many...

And such a nice perspective on chairs...

The Big One - Yep...sprawling is good! As for falling over when you've had too much wine - speak for yourself. And chairs??? Would you like to expand on that?

Byron - On behalf of the British women, thanks! And you have to love Indian food in the UK - there's a restaurant on every corner, and curry is our national dish!

ocd much? lol just kidding...i, too, can't sleep w/o covers. they have to be up to my neck to feel 'protected'. if i go anywhere of great distance, i not only double check, not even triple check, but i'll check 100 times to make sure i have my driver's license (if flying, the boarding pass, too). and my girls and i always say, goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite, sweet dreams, think of something happy like rainbows, flowers, and all that good stuff...love you. goodnight. bye. and this is all said after we do hugs, eskimos and kisses lol

Norman Bates huh? They are mine and hubby's surnames. No wonder I live at the hotel.

..and before me and little Son go to sleep we always say Goodnight ; and don;t let the bed bugs bite....
