yikes, and done in the home. i made stinky come home the day he had his dog sampson put to sleep (took him to the vet). the dog got on my nerves, but it was quite sad how he got in the tub to die alone..as animals do. he had been checking out the tub the week previous.BR/BR/yeah, i would say that was insensitive not to have some kind of support or something!

He's not really dead you know ;) Like most folk (not that he's actually a folk) he's sick and fed up of the constant depressing story line and wanted out. He'll be on Corra by next week.

Had to put one of my cats to sleep a few years ago, very hard...BR/BR/I know in the next couple years I'll be doing to same with my dog, and the thought of it makes me sad already...BR/BR/But some people (like my former boss) don't get it, they just think pet owners are silly to feel this way about their pets. Cold hearted, the lot of them I say.

WHAT!!!! you want me to watch it again???????BR/It as just what I didn't want to watch last Friday, like you I felt wrecked. Thank goodness there was a bottle of red in the rack and my mascara was water-proof...

I'm sorry, I can't watch it.BR/BR/I really need to have my Zena put down. She's Dane and Pyranese, she just turned 9 this year and we've had her since she was 3 wks old... She has no teeth, her skin has turned on her, it's hard for her to get up and down and I just know she's miserable. I just can't bring myself to do it. She is part of our family. BR/I never did get why some people say that they are just "pets", they don't have feelings, etc. They have every bit as much personality and feelings as we do, more so than some people.

I couldn't watch it, much too painful as I remember only too well standing with tears streaming from my eyes and snot from my nose, delivering great heaving sobs as I held my beloved dog, Guinness, while the vet did the deed. It was over 10 years ago but it still breaks my heart. :(

Saw it! They did it very well I thought, good acting all round, especially from the little kids in the kitchen who were sat round the table. I don't usually watch EastEnders but I occasionally switch it on and I'm glad I did.BR/BR/CJ xx

There's no way I can watch this at this point in time.BR/BR/That might just be my breaking point if I did.

I am not watching. I cry at the simplest of commercials so I would be a mess if I watched this. I had to have our dog put to sleep a few years ago - one of the hardest things I have ever done! Take care.

Yep, I was choked too. Snoopy is nine and in good health at the moment, but I know he won't live forever and nine is kinda getting on for old in doggie terms. I thought it was well done and Wellard acted extremely well, as did the little red-haired kid.

To all of you who have lost or are losing pets...I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to let them go. xBR/BR/Mike - thpppppBR/BR/rosiero - thanks for visiting. I'm so glad I found your blog!

I say - bring back Brookside. BR/BR/They would have had the decency to have had the announcer do the "if you suffered ...from call the 0800... helpline" routine. Mind you, the dog would have just died in a hail of bullets or been buried in concrete!

@ heather...i heard of someone's pet being about 25 yrs old, and you know that's a lot in dog years, but they wouldn't put it down either. i can't imagine what that dog went through.

Now I've read all those comments, I feel really bad for laughing at 'Stay Another Day' throughout the whole thing...and credits.BR/BR/WhoopsBR/BR/Poor Wellard, died in Pat's living room. Bad way to go :(
