Gosh - I thought all those clothes just appeared on the shelves and racks by magic. And I never knew there was such politics involved in a department store. I'll post a pic soon.BR/BR/Ciara - I left my last job after a week because of asshole morons. I really didn't expect it in a HUGE department store who spend MILLIONS on EVERYTHING. I'm gonna stick this out and see how it goes. Having said that, I'm applying for something else this week which has nothing to do with retail.BR/BR/Minx - If my psychic skills were anywhere near as brushed up as they should have been, I wouldn't have been there in the first place! Having said that, my tarot cards are coming out this afternoon. Could be interesting.....

Ak - I'm off now till Tuesday, so no. As for Tuesday...yes. I'm not looking forward to it because all the price tags which they brought down yesterday (which we spent four hours putting on) had the wrong bar codes on, so I have to go through the entire process again...while remebering to smile at the customers. And try to sell 5 store cards....at a till...somewhere... And tidy a stockroom. And hit my targets. And fuck knows what else. On my own. BR/BR/Bitter? Angry? FURIOUS? ME? BR/Never.

Why do some people have to be such jerks! Sounds like it is time for someone to give them all a major attitude adjustment - and I think you are just the person to do it! I know you need the job but...don't let them walk all over you. It makes me furious. Maybe I should come over there and talk to them. Try to relax, if possible, and enjoy your days off!

Hi Elaine, it's tough being at the bottom of the pile, isn't it? People just kick you around as if you are a piece of sh*t. You don't deserve to be there, but I know that jobs are hard to come by, it is the same way here in the Netherlands. You're supposed to be happy at my age if you get a job cleaning offices. There is so much potential wasted. Well, you and I know we're worth much more than that. Now we just have to convince the world.

Sounds like a crazy way to run a store, and I've run a few, not department stores though. I don't miss the retail world one bit. Hope it improves or you can find a non-retail job soon! Let us see your haircut too!
