Lay back and think of England.

No.. not one idea entered my mind.... Terrible thing about fearing dentists....
  • Mike · 3 years ago
The last time I went, Dr Savage (true name) injected my gum in what I suspect was the wrong place as all the fluid squirted out the corner of my eye. At which point I did my usual and very predictable party piece of passing out. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut until after you'd got back. I'm sorry, but I do wish you the very best of luck.

Find one that uses a general anaesthetic- it costs more but the last thing you'll remember is trying to count backwards from ten.

It was the best thing I ever did when I had to get four teeth pulled out last year; and no more fear of dentists!

Good luck! You just made me cringe reading that story.

All I can think of is the Mr. Bean episode with the dentist, which I think is my favorite! Just don't try to do it yourself, dear. I wish I could be there to hold your hand through this ordeal. By now I hope it's over and you feel much better.

Omg I cringed reading your horror story of the dentist visit. I too am afraid of the dentist. I have stories, but nothing comes close to the one you had. lol

Hope all went well, and you're feeling a bit better. :)

Me dear mama used to tell me innocent sis not to drink alcohol and leave her mouth open.....dunno what she meant by that, though.

    I'm a innocent, too.

Or so me dear ma thought.

I used to be afraid of the dentist. Now I just let my mind wander while I am sitting there, feel the first couple of needles, then no more pain. At least until the pain killer wears off.

Oh you poor girl. Drift off and go to your happy place... Think of how much better it will fill when it is gone. Sending you lots of good tooth Karma!!!

My God! I can't believe someone gave you a shot in the wrong place when you were a child. That's awful.

How traumatic. Anybody would be afraid of the dentist after that. Anybody.

Hope everything went well for you today. I, personally, hate the sound of the drill the worst.

I think I'm going to put on earmuffs the next time I go to the dentist.
